Paul Shearin – Director of Innasol Solar PV

Paul began his professional life as an Electrician, qualifying in 2003 and working primarily in construction until 2008. From this point, Paul began his journey focusing on the Renewable energy sector.

Paul’s first step into the renewable sector was installing Heat Pumps in 2008 via Local Authorities in Scotland while working as a self-employed contractor, subcontracted from large Utility providers. It was at this point commercial Solar PV became part of the work stream, particularly in the agricultural sector with Paul also managing a small team to deliver these projects.

Paul’s business was acquired, and this new company won a significant solar power contract which he successfully delivered while gaining huge experience.

Paul subsequently worked as Renewables Manager for a multi-discipline EPC that operated in the commercial, new build, agricultural, and local authority sectors and gained the necessary formal qualifications that are now mandatory.

Paul first joined Innasol in 2013 and spent four years working within the Technical team covering Scotland, Ireland, and the North of England.

After a few years away working on large-scale commercial solar projects right across the UK, Paul rejoined as Director of Solar PV in 2022. He is now focused on growing the Innasol Solar PV offering while delivering the highest quality installations in the industry and working with the Innasol Partner Network to leverage solar opportunities nationwide.

Outside of work, Paul Shearin is an outdoor enthusiast and an ultramarathon runner. Always looking to test himself (and his colleagues), he has climbed Kilimanjaro and Kota Kinabalu and participated in 155-mile races (with several more planned).
