Neil Holland – Managing Director
Neil has worked in the energy sector for over 16 years. As one of the founders of Y Pellets, he has overseen the rise of the fastest-growing wood pellet distribution company in the UK to the point where Y Pellets now operates is fleet of seven custom-designed lorries across England and Wales.
Recently the Y Pellets team have used their end customer experience to offer energy management systems designed by Austrian company, Linemetrics, to provide systems which are fast and easy to retrofit so that customers can begin to measure the performance of their buildings to better plan improvements.
Previously, Neil was Sales & Marketing Director of the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of wood pellets, helping to oversee some of the largest wood pellet supply contracts as well as implementing large-scale energy supply contracts totalling over 20MW.
Prior to bioenergy, as Head of Sales & Marketing for Firmus Energy he built a team to support sales, marketing and customer service for a “start-up” natural gas supply and distribution business, growing customer numbers from 350 to 20,000 in seven years.
Neil Holland has worked and studied in the US, Asia and across Europe and as well as his day job in Y Pellets also acts as Chairman for the UK Pellet Council, the main trade body representing the wood pellet industry in the UK.
