Welcoming Y Pellets to The Innasol Group

Y Pellets have been the fastest-growing wood pellet supplier in the UK. In the last years, they have supplied the fuel to power many of Innasol’s customer biomass boilers. Based in Yorkshire, they deliver across the UK mainland to anywhere within England, Scotland and Wales. Y Pellets have a great track record in the market for outstanding customer service and reliable, on-time fuel delivery.

At the end of 2020 Y Pellets were officially acquired by the Innasol Group and became part of our family. This move allows us to streamline our supply chain. It also allows us to help customers both from a boiler installation and fuel supply perspective.

WHY Y PELLETS?

Y Pellets has been an exemplar of great customer service and good quality pellet supply for the entire time we have known them. They use virgin wood, ground down, dried and compressed to form pellets with less than 10% moisture level. This means that the pellets are extremely high in calorific value, meaning that they give great energy output and predictable fuel efficiency.

The reduction of moisture in the wood creates less smoke in the burning process, and this means that your boiler will not require cleaning quite so often. In addition, the drying process that creates the efficiency also means that there is less than 0.7% ash produced. Therefore, this small amount of ash takes longer to fill up the ash tray in your boiler, and what is produced can be used as fertiliser in your garden.

Y Pellets also ascribe to the ENplus certification, which is the only quality standard established for wood pellets so far in the UK that ensures pellet quality is managed throughout the entire supply chain.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

The acquisition of Y Pellets confirms Innasol’s leadership in the UK biomass market and is now the leading wood pellet supplier. We are excited to develop unique offerings for our customers and make a significant contribution to the decarbonisation of heat in the UK. Biomass has to play an important role in achieving the UK government’s targets for making heating cleaner and greener.
