Innasol saddle up for 24hr cycle ride!

Last weekend a number of us from the Innasol team bit the bullet and took part in a 24 hour cycle ride – it was as painful as it sounds!

The “24 h Grieskirchen Radmarathon” includes a number of different competitions. Competitors could buddy up into teams of two, four, six, or as we did, seven – as long as one person from each team was cycling the course at any one time. Those crazy cyclists who wanted to were even able to tackle the entire 24 hours by themselves!

Innasol competed in the business cup, alongside our good friends and partners at ETA. The team, which was made up of our CEO Silvio, COO Colm, ASM Stuart, biomass expert Elmar and 3 more brave men. We arrived full of energy and excited about the challenge ahead, and after catching up amongst ourselves and with our friends at ETA, we got on our bikes and got down to work.

The course was a looped 21.5km, which made its way through Grieskirchen, close to the ETA factory, and on through Bad Schallerbach before coming back round to Grieskirchen.

We finished an impressive seventh place…out of seven teams! Our team completed 33 rounds of the 21.5km track, totally around 710km- a result we were proud of. We had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed further strengthening our relationship with ETA. That said, it’s safe to say that there were a lot of sore muscles the next day!
