Biomass Boilers for Zoos, Farms & Animal Enclosures
If your business is centred around the keeping and care of animals, then biomass is a fantastic option for your heating needs. For those animals that require stable and higher than average temperatures, biomass boilers are excellent at providing steady and consistent heating.
With carbon neutral fuel, be it wood pellets or wood chips that power biomass boilers provide a clean, cost-effective and renewable energy source for your facility. This means that your animals don’t stand any chance of being exposed to potentially harmful chemicals or substances.
ZOOS
If you’re running a zoo, then the chances are you’ll have a variety of complex heating needs. Reptile houses, aquariums, large and small enclosures, indoor visitor areas and possibly eating areas too.
A biomass heating system would be an ideal solution for your requirements. With the capability to serve large-scale heating to sometimes huge facilities there is little a biomass boiler cannot handle. Better still, your facility can claim on the government’s RHI scheme.
We recently installed biomass boilers at Colchester Zoo in Essex and are working with them to provide all their heating solutions.
FARMS
Some of our most common customers are farms. Chicken farms especially find biomass not only a viable, clean, safe and reliable heating solution for their chicken sheds, but they also supplement their income with large RHI payments from their sensitive, near-constant heating needs.
Larger farming requirements can also be fulfilled with biomass heating. Often cheaper than gas or oil and perfect for off-grid locations a biomass boiler can operate at high capacity in the coldest conditions.
ANIMAL ENCLOSURES
If your facility doesn’t quite fit into the category of a zoo or a farm, then biomass is still an option. Legislation generally dictates the minimum and maximum safe temperatures at which animals can be kept. Perhaps your business is a kennel or a cattery?
Biomass, unlike many other forms of renewable or green energy, has a consistent and reliable energy output. Meaning your heating stays constant and stable. So, you can rely on a biomass boiler to always keep your business, your livestock and your profits safe and warm.
