Innasol Certified Partner PBE Fuels was nominated under two categories at the Pembrokeshire Business Awards just last week. The awards focused upon businesses and business people in Pembrokeshire with categories ranging from Agriculture, New business, E-commerce and Young Business Person, to name a few.
Following nomination, PBE Fuels were shortlists for the local independant business and specialist awards and also the niche business award by a panel of judges. Three finalists from each category were then put out to the public to vote for their preferred business. After close of voting, the judges once again scored their preferred from the shortlist and this score was added to the public vote count to reveal the over winner for each category. PBE Fuels had very strong competition including previous winners and a brewing company but that obviously didn’t matter as PBE Fuels took the award home for local independent business of the year.
Paul Ratcliffe, Director, PBE Group said; “We were so please to have won the Local Independent Business Award and it gives us a huge boost”
PBE Fuels Ltd was established in 2007, following a notable demand for biomass wood pellets in Wales, alongside an increase in demand for alternative heating systems. PBE Fuels is part of the PBE Group, which is a collection of three companies set up to serve the biomass industry. In 2003 its sister company, PBE Ltd, was formed with the ethos of raising awareness of, and to encourage agricultural businesses to grow energy crops, including Miscanthus and Willow, for use as a biomass fuel.
“Congratulations to all the team at PBE, it is a true pleasure to work with you on a daily basis and this award could not be more deserved – looking forward to a flurry of boiler sales after another successful Royal Welsh Show” Andrew Archer, ASM, Innasol.
