INNASOL would like to bring to your attention that one of our highly skilled partners recently had their work featured on the BBC – pretty cool hey?!
Geoff Bockett, of Minsteracres retreat centre, featured in a short video speaking about the benefits of biomass, reducing fuel costs and how making the switch to renewable heat can really make a difference. The project was carried out by one of our expert partners, Re:heat, at the retreat centre which is located on the edge of the Tyne Valley.
To put the benefits of biomass into perspective, the owners of the retreat centre were previously totally reliant on fossil fuels and spending around £40,000 a year on oil! They recognised it was time to come up with a way to significantly reduce fuel costs and leave a lot more money in their pocket… That’s where our partner came in! With the installation of an ETA 199kW HACK wood chip boiler available to our friends at Re:heat through us at INNASOL, Minsteracres was able to achieve their goal. Heating a large building with such a long and complex history of extensions and changes in use isn’t always easy – but it was! Re:heat gave full support and dedication to a quality design and installation process, just like the rest of our reliable partners do too.
The top quality boiler replaced three boilers in the main house and now provides the space heating and hot water. Minsteracres is a grade II listed house – the Re:heat team designed a wood chip boiler set up that left the external structure of the house largely unaltered. Now the owners aren’t just benefiting financially but also reducing their reliance on fossil fuels, their fuel supplier is just a few miles down the road meaning the local economy gets support too! The benefits don’t stop there.. Other benefits include the reduction of carbon emissions, creating sustainable and better managed forests and even the added bonus of the support we get from the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

The RHI is only an added bonus compared to other long term benefits. A treasury spokeswoman said: “Our support has already driven down the cost of renewable energy significantly. As costs continue to fall it becomes easier for parts of the renewables industry to survive.” To read the full story click here.
Not only does renewable energy save you money but it adds value to your property too, there are four key benefits when it comes to making the switch to renewable energy:
- Energy efficient green properties have higher occupancy rates
- Reduce the operating costs of your property and keep tenants loyal
- Renovation experts recommend installing central heating to increase your property value.
- Local energy spending to support the community.

Here at INNASOL we have a large network of partners all over the UK and Ireland who have been trained at our very own academy. This means they are fully geared up for quality service and installations. Don’t just take our word for it, take a look at a variety of our case studies and see for yourselves!
